Hello and welcome to another installment of Hot Hudson Tracks! We'd like to fill you in on some of the songs that are scorching up the charts and topping our lists of most popular downloads. We start with the song that cannot be stopped: “I’m So Hood!” This second single has been in our top 10 ringtones since its release in September and does not seem to show any signs of budging! Be sure to check out the video on You Tube where you can play “where’s Waldo” with all the hot cameos: Trina, Busta Rhymes, Pitbull, and many more!
New to our list is a track from Trina’s latest mix tape called "We Takin’ Over," which is a girl power version cover DJ Khaled’s version of the same name. Lil Mo, Jacki-O, and Remy-Ma all trade verses on this one. Trina has secured her place in the female hip-hop royalty club with lyrics like “Yes! I am the Queen. Feed me diamonds. I don’t need a King.” Trina’s new album featuring the single “Single Again,” will hit stores April 1st.
For those that are fans of Three 6 Mafia, comes the hit ringtone “Don’t Call Me No More,” by Project Pat. This is probably the catchiest ringtone we have had with simple lyrics like “Don’t Call Me No Mo, Don’t Text Me No Mo...” The video opens with Project Pat being kicked to the curb by his fed up women, the fighting duo texting and calling each other incessantly. I’m sure you all know someone in your life who cannot take the hint. Perhaps assigning this ringtone or ringback might help you manage your monthly minutes on your wireless plan?

Underground Hip-Hop definitely still has a place in The Source Masters Top 10 with Killah Priest’s latest single from his new album called “Gun for Gun,” featuring Nas. Although Nas’s last album was called “Hip-Hop Is Dead,” Killah Priest is showing us all some major game on his latest effort. This album is simply a breath of fresh air to a collection over produced and under developed Hip-Hop CDs in the market today. The lyrics flow like spoken poetry and the beats make your head nod in approval. If your head is aching for more after you finish the album, fear not: the rumor is another Killah Priest album is coming soon!

Montana Da Mac is another newcomer to the Source Master Top 10 with his new single “Do The Rock Man.” This Atlanta rapper was introduced to the scene by the master of crunk rap himself, Lil Jon, on MTV’s My Super Sweet 16 show in front of a 20,000 screaming teenagers. This song is reminiscent of the Shop Boyz banger that wouldn’t go away “Party Like a Rockstar," but “Do The Rock Man” has a air of Atlanta crunkness all rap fans can enjoy.
We have discussed the tracks that are hot now but what songs might be blazing the charts in the coming months? One sure hot track is the latest from Brandy Norwood’s little brother Ray J called “Sexy Can I.” This track is already in rotation on TRL and it the top 10 tracks on iTunes! The explicit video has had a record 1,107,582 views on You Tube!
Ya dig? Jim Jones is back with new single “Love Me No More,” the video has had 169,026 views on You Tube and the album is soaring on iTunes!
For those fans of classic hip-hop, AZ is back with a new track called “The Hardest.” The video has a cool old school feel, sort of reminds me of science fiction Disney flick “Tron.” Another track with some cool old school flavor is “Good Love,” by Skeech Louch. The video shows Louch traveling and chillin’ in the club old school style. The track samples the famous love song “Tonight Is the Night,” by Betty Wright!
Please keep it locked to hear new hot tracks and exciting new announcements from the music department at Hudson Entertainment!
